The Mohammed VI Foundation for African Oulema has held its 6th annual National Preliminaries for the memorisation, recitation, and psalmody of the Holy Quran in the country.The competition brought together talented Qur'anic recit­ers from across the country, who demonstrated remarkable skills and devotion to their faith.This year's edition was marked by an exceptionally high level of competition, with participants showcasing their mastery of the Quran.Ahlam Abdullah made history by becoming the first female winner in the Hafs style category, scoring an impressive 99 points.The competition featured various categories, including the Five Thematic Parts of the Qur'an, Full Qur'an Memorisation (Warsh Style), and Hafs Category.Winners in each category received recognition for their out­standing performances.In the Five Thematic Parts of the Qur'an category, Jafaru Ali emerged first with 98 points, while Mahmoud Mohammed Mahmoud took top honors in the Full Qur'an Memorisation (Warsh Style) catego­ry with 98 points.Abdul-Shakur Harun took sec­ond with 97 points while Hamdani Yusif and Ziad Baba Alhassan scored 95 point placing them at the third position in the Five Thematic Parts of the Qur'an.In the Full Qur'an Memorisation (Warsh Style), Abdul-latif Yaku­bu scored second position with 93 points and Abubakar IlIiasu had the third position with 90 points while in the Hafs Category, Mubarak Ali also scored the second position with 98 points and the third position went to Zeinab Ab­dul Rahman who scored 97 points.The Mohammed VI Foundation for African Oulema aims to inspire Muslim youth in Africa to engage deeply with the Quran, using it as a guide for their lives and aspirations for salvation.The Deputy Ambassador of Morocco in Ghana, M.
