President John Dramani Mahama has once again stressed his commitment to maintaining the independence of Ghana's anti-corruption agencies, pledging not to meddle in ongoing probes or influence the dropping of any cases.

The president made this clear during a meeting with a delegation from the African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption at the Jubilee House in Accra on Tuesday, May 3.

He highlighted his dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice is applied fairly. "I have told the public and assured my Attorney General and Minister of Justice that I am not going to interfere in their work," President Mahama stated.

He further added, "If the anti-corruption agencies go after anybody, I am not going to try and influence them to drop any investigation against anybody, including those who served in the previous regime, many cases of whom we are currently investigating."
