A group of past volunteers of Radio Univers, the University of Ghana's campus-based radio station, is set to honour the station's long-serving manager, Dr Abubakari Sidick Ahmed, with a grand retirement celebration on Friday, June 6, 2025.
The event, themed "The Touchdown", will take place at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana at 6:00 PM, and is strictly by invitation.
It will bring together dignitaries, mentees, colleagues, friends, and family - all united by one purpose: to celebrate a man whose leadership and mentorship have shaped countless lives in Ghana's media space and beyond.
Affectionately known as Alhaji, Dr Sidick Ahmed has served at Radio Univers for over two decades, rising from a student reporter to Station Manager.
