Former Assistant Secretary to the Office of the Former President, Ibrahim Adjei, has called on the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to exercise discretion and show consideration for the medical condition of former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, as legal proceedings intensify.
Speaking on Breakfast Daily on Channel One TV on Monday, June 2, Adjei defended Mr.
Ofori-Atta's absence from the OSP's scheduled appearance, insisting it was due to genuine health concerns and not an attempt to evade justice. "He has to understand that it is not the unwillingness to travel, but the medical implications of you travelling, that are preventing Honourable Ken Ofori-Atta from coming.
At no point has Honourable Ken Ofori-Atta said he won't come," Adjei said. "He has addressed where he is and the medical treatment that he is currently receiving while the OSP is away.
