Today, June 2, 2025, marks the deadline given to former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta by the Office of the Special Prosecutor to appear before it.

According to the Office of the Special Prosecutor, failure to appear before the office will mean that he will be redeclared a wanted man.

A statement dated March 17, 2025 said the OSP shall consider him a fugitive from Justice, whereupon the OSP will cause the issuance of an Interpol Red alert Notice in his regard and also cause the initiation of extradition proceedings in any jurisdiction in which he may be found.

In January 2025, the OSP officially notified Mr Ofori-Atta that he was a suspect in five separate cases and asked him to appear in person on February 10, 2025.
