The Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu, is calling for a re-run of the parliamentary election in the Ablekuma North Constituency, citing the Electoral Commission's failure to authenticate pink sheet results from key polling stations.
Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on Sunday, June 1, Nukpenu said the NDC would not accept any unverifiable results and challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to produce evidence of their claimed victory. "Our position is simple.
Since the Electoral Commission cannot authenticate pink sheets verified results, we also don't have that.
The NPP cannot produce a scanned pink sheet for us to use to verify," he stated. "Me, I'm a Regional Organiser-I have led that charge for long.
