Former President on Thursday joined thousands of mourners at the final funeral rights of the late Paramount Chief of the Mion Traditional Area of Dagbon, Mionlana Abdulai Mahamadu at Mion in the Northern Region.
The ex-President was accompanied by the former Vice President and 2024 Flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, 2024 Running Mate, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, former Finance Minister, Adam Mohammed Amin, and former NPP Members of Parliament to bid farewell to the late traditional ruler.
His visit to mourn with the King and people of Dagbon further deepened his relationship with the Dagbon Kingdom, where he was also enskinned as the Dagbon Malti-Naa for his role in the restoration of peace, after decades of the protracted Abudu and Andani chieftaincy conflict of Dagbon.
A powerful delegation of Abudu Chiefs led by the Paramount Chief of Karaga, Kari Naa Nantogmah Abdulai, visited the former President at his Nima residence in Accra, to formally inform him about the funeral a few weeks ago.
