The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, has been granted access to the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) where embattled Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has been transferred on Friday, May 30.
Earlier, Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin was also granted access upon his arrival at the NIB facility.
Wontumi was moved from the headquarters of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to the NIB amid rising public and political interest in his ongoing legal woes.
