Executive Director for the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), Dr Rasheed Draman, has criticised the Minority's decision to stage a walkout in Parliament, describing it as irrelevant and lacking in strategic value.
His comments come after the Minority on Thursday, May 29, 2025, staged a walkout in protest of what they described as the unfair treatment of Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Draman argues that the Minority's tactics no longer hold weight in a Parliament where the National Democratic Congress (NDC) commands a comfortable majority, thus rendering walkouts ineffective.
