A new report by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has revealed widespread public dissatisfaction with the inclusiveness of the country's political system.

According to the Governance Series Wave 1 Report, more than 70% of Ghanaians feel that ordinary citizens have little to no say in government decision-making.

The findings show that 42.4% of respondents believe there is "not at all" any opportunity to influence decisions, while 29.3% say there is "very little" room for public input.

Only 12% of respondents said the system allows for "a lot" or "a great deal" of citizen participation.
