Former Vice President Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia is actively coordinating efforts to perfect bail for embattled Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Citi News has learnt.
Wontumi has remained in EOCO custody since Tuesday, May 27, after being summoned and detained by the Economic and Organised Crime Office.
He is under investigation for alleged money laundering, fraud, and causing financial loss to the state - charges confirmed by Deputy Attorney General, Justice Srem-Sai.
