Former Auditor General has described corruption in Ghana as a pervasive "canker" that has grown even "bigger than religion." Speaking at a forum organised by Crusaders Against Corruption in Accra, themed "Scareface of Corruption in Ghana," Mr.
Domelevo attributed the high rate of corruption to a leadership crisis, calling it "unacceptable." "Corruption endangers the corrupt people themselves, and that is a danger for our country," Mr.
Domelevo stated, urging the public to hold leaders accountable.
He called on the youth to fight corruption with willpower and pray for a transformational leader.
Mr.
Domelevo also criticised the lack of political will by successive governments to combat corruption, citing multiple corruption-related cases as evidence of the crisis.
