The Director of Operations at Maaha Beach Resort, Jean Jacques Mass, has assured the public that the resort remains open for business, despite a fire that destroyed 18 rooms on the night of Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

His comments followed an inspection of the affected site by the Ellembelle office of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Jacques Mass clarified that the majority of the resort's facilities remain intact, with only 18 rooms affected by the blaze. "About 190 rooms were not affected," he said, adding that the damage was limited to a section on the far right of the property. "The resort is still serene for visitors." He reaffirmed the resort's commitment to uninterrupted service. "Maaha Beach Resort is running 24 hours as usual, and people who love Maaha Beach Resort are invited to continue dealing with us because everything is going on well." Read also…..
