The Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Justice Srem Sai, has stated that the embattled Ashanti Regional Minister for the opposition , Bernard Antwi Boasiako, alias Chairman Wontumi, is under investigation for various criminal offenses, including fraud, causing financial loss to the State, and money laundering.
According to the Deputy Attorney General, Wontumi, who has been in the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) since Tuesday, is also under another strand of international investigation, which is part of a larger international organized crime scheme.
