Members of the Minority Caucus in are protesting the continued detention of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, who was arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Tuesday.
Following a walkout during parliamentary proceedings on Thursday, May 29, 2025, the Minority MPs marched from to the EOCO head office.
They are currently staging a sit-in in front of the EOCO headquarters, demanding the immediate release of the NPP Regional Chairman.
