A group of (NDC) youth in the Zebilla Constituency of the Bawku West District reportedly locked up the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) district office in protest over what they described as an attempt to cancel a rightful political appointment.

According to 3news.com, the protest was sparked by claims that party leaders, including the Member of for Zebilla Ebenezer Ndebilla Alumire interfering in the appointment of John Akutam Akparibilla as the YEA District Director.

Akparibilla, who is also the NDC Constituency Youth Organiser, was reportedly appointed by Acting YEA CEO Malik Basintale.

The protesting youth held up a copy of his appointment letter, demanding that he be allowed to take the position without any obstacles. "John Akutam Akparibilla must remain the youth boss in the district, as done by his appointor, Malik Basintale," the group declared.
