A total of 18 rooms at the Maaha Beach Resort in the Ellembelle District have been destroyed following a fire outbreak on the evening of Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
The blaze, which reportedly started around 7 p.m.
at the nearby Vision Beach Resort, quickly spread to the Maaha Beach Resort, damaging large sections of its infrastructure.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service were able to bring the situation under control by around 10 p.m.
