The Ellembelle District Fire Commander, DO2 Mark Hamilton, has confirmed that 18 rooms at the Maaha Beach Resort were destroyed in a fire that broke out on the evening of Thursday, May 28.
The blaze, which started around 7 p.m.
at the nearby Vision Beach Resort, quickly spread to the Maaha Beach Resort.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
