A fire broke out at the Maaha Beach Resort in the Western Region on Wednesday night, destroying parts of the coastal facility.
Dramatic video footage circulating on social media showed frantic scenes as a group of men scrambled with buckets of water in an attempt to douse the fast-spreading flames.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The fire outbreak believed to have started around 7pm on Wednesday 28th May, 2025 from the kitchen of Vision Beach, a resort adjacent to the Maaha, spread through portions of Maaha Beach, burning some of its infrastructure.
