President has nominated two individuals to serve as Municipal Chief Executives (MCEs) in the Central Region.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
According to the statement, the President's nominations are subject to the approval of their respective Assemblies. "H.E.
the President in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) (as amended), has nominated the following Municipal/District Chief Executives, pending approval by their respective Assemblies", it noted.
