Majority Chief Whip in Parliament, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has lashed out at the Electoral Commission (EC) over its inability to declare the parliamentary results for the Ablekuma North constituency, months after the 2024 general elections.
In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face on Channel One TV, Dafeamekpor expressed frustration over the prolonged stalemate, accusing the EC of incompetence and failure to deliver on its core mandate. "Look at Ablekuma North, a stalemate forever.
The EC is totally clueless, unable to declare for either NPP or NDC," he pointed out.
He also rejected claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should be held responsible for the constituency's lack of representation in Parliament. "Why would the NDC take the blame for what happened in Ablekuma North?" he questioned.
