The Goaso Traditional Council has announced that every household within the Goaso Traditional Area in the Ahafo Region will be required to pay GH₵50 as part of preparations for the funeral rites of the late Goasomanhene, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah.
Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, the Paramount Chief of the Goaso Traditional Area, passed away in December 2024.
Reports indicate that he had been unwell for some time prior to his death.
At a press conference held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Traditional Council declared that the levy is mandatory and called on all households to comply. "We are about to bid farewell to our chief, who generously provided us a place on this land to lay our heads.
