The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has emphasized that while the 15% reduction in transport fares has been communicated and adopted by many drivers, ensuring total compliance rests heavily on the shoulders of law enforcement agencies.   Speaking on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem, the Union's Public Relations Officer, Abbas Ibrahim Moro, confirmed that the fare adjustment officially took effect on Saturday, May 24, 2025, and was introduced to cushion Ghanaians following a drop in fuel prices."We have done our part by communicating the reduction and informing our members, who are complying earnestly.

But a few members of unregistered unions have decided not to comply.

So it is in the hands of law enforcement agencies to ensure full compliance," Mr.

Moro stated.
