The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, has expressed his disapproval of calls for the disclosure of medical conditions of government officials.
He argued that such information should only be disclosed if it directly affects their ability to perform official duties.
Agbana stated that while transparency in governance is important, there must be a clear distinction between private and public matters. "I do not subscribe to the proposition that the health conditions of government officials should automatically be made public.
Unless it has a direct impact on the discharge of their duties, their medical status should remain a private matter," he said.
