Former Member of for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira, Catherine Afeku, has urged the (NPP) to unite and stop the internal blame games following its defeat in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking in an interview on JoyNews and monitored by GhanaWeb on Friday, May 23, 2025, she expressed worry over the growing divisions within the party. "Some people withdrew from the 'Thank you Tour' and from the perspective of many Ghanaians, NPP looks untidy right now, not united.

I would (sic) dwell on the clarion call to get people to unite", she stated.

The former lawmaker also likened the party's internal wranglings to grief following its defeat in the 2024 elections and urged members to be patient and allow time for healing. "It's like grief, you've lost something, and you have to allow people to grieve and then after healing you quickly come back together. "And that is the stage we are, we need to come back together, close ranks and diminish the blame game," she noted.
