Businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama has offered financial support to cover the full cost of medical treatment for Baby Phoebe Gimelle Oware Oguh, a 1-year-7-month-old girl diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Phoebe is currently under the care of the Paediatric Oncology Unit at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
A letter signed by Dr.
Michael Akpoke, dated January 10, 2025, confirmed that while she is receiving initial care locally, she requires further treatment abroad, including a bone marrow transplant, which is not available in Ghana.
