On Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Spokesperson to the President and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, , announced that the Vice President received treatment at University of Ghana Medical Centre due to a sudden illness that occurred after work on Friday, March 28, 2025.
She subsequently took a medical leave during which she sought treatment abroad.
