Private legal practitioner and spokesperson for Movement for Change, Andrews Appiah Danquah, has strongly condemned what he describes as the 'Rambo-style' approach used by security operatives in recent arrests, arguing that such tactics are unnecessary and erode public trust in law enforcement agencies.
Speaking on JoyNews' AM Show on May 23, 2025, Danquah stated that individuals suspected of wrongdoing should be formally invited by law enforcement agencies; if they resist, then they can resort to forceful action.
He questioned the long-term social impact of such antics used by law enforcers, noting that they mar public perception of law enforcement agencies. "The Rambo style of picking up or arresting people is needless.
The person should first be invited, and if he or she fails to report, then you can forcefully arrest or pick the person up", he stated.
