Armed security officials, purported to be officials of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), reportedly stormed the home of 's (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, on Friday, May 23, 2025.
A viral video of the incident showed armed men at the entrance of the Ashanti Region NPP chairman's home in Kumasi.
One of the videos showed security officials, some in police uniforms and others in plain clothes, alighting from white pick-up trucks.
Another video showed the supposed security officials knocking and banging at the main entrance gate of Wontumi's home.
