The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has announced an extension of the deadline for registration and transition to its new gold trading license regime.

In a statement signed by Media Relations Officer, Prince Minkah, the Board revealed that the original deadline of May 21, 2025, has been extended to June 21, 2025.

According to GoldBod, individuals currently holding licenses issued by the now-defunct Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) and/or the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources may continue to purchase and deal in gold using those licenses up until the new deadline of June 21, 2025.

However, GoldBod emphasised that while the license application process remains open and ongoing, the June 21 deadline is final and non-extendable.
