Kwaku Asare has issued a scathing critique of what he calls an "elite entitlement crisis" embedded in Ghana's application of Article 71, describing gratuity payments to top public officials as unjustifiable and fiscally irresponsible.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 21, Prof.
Asare, popularly known as Kwaku Azar, highlighted the example of Superior Court justices who retire on their full salary yet still receive massive lump-sum gratuities. "This is not retirement; it's reward," he said.
