Political analyst, Michael Kosi Dedey has emphasised the need for stronger enforcement of local laws by district assemblies, arguing that Ghana cannot rely solely on border control to manage the growing issue of undocumented migrants and street begging.

Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily on Wednesday, May 21, he expressed concern about the lax attitude of some local authorities toward street loitering, particularly involving children. "There are rules that the district assemblies need to enforce.

The question is, are the district assemblies doing that?

The issue is that people are not allowed to loiter on the street, especially children, but the assemblies look on as though there are no rules in this country.
