Chief Executive Officer of the defunct Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, says he will consider heading to the Supreme Court after the Court of Appeal on Monday, May 19, dismissed his application seeking to halt his ongoing criminal trial at the High Court.

The embattled businessman, popularly known as NAM1, had filed the application in a bid to stop proceedings at the High Court, where he is standing trial on multiple charges including defrauding by false pretence, money laundering, fraudulent breach of trust, and operating a gold dealership without a licence.

The High Court had in 2024 directed NAM1 to open his defence after dismissing a submission of no case to answer.

But his legal team approached the Court of Appeal to challenge that ruling and further applied for a stay of proceedings until the appeal was determined.
