Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, has clarified that the statistics he recently presented to the Parliament's Energy Committee were not intended to indicate that the country's energy sector is in crisis.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Monday, May 19, he cited the recent resolution of issues with Karpowership as evidence of the government's commitment to addressing challenges within the sector.
According to him, the ministry is actively working to resolve shortfalls and strengthen the energy supply.
Jinapor also revealed that a gas processing committee has been established to develop a comprehensive roadmap for acquiring a gas processing plant.
