The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has issued a strong public warning against the sale and consumption of two alcoholic products, Kings Orange Flavoured Liqueur and Jupiter 1990, both found to contain cannabis extracts and are deemed unsafe for human consumption.
According to the FDA, the products are unregistered and are being produced illegally by a facility identified as Famude Catering Services in the Ashanti Region.
The drinks pose serious health risks, including the potential for long-term organ damage.
The Authority has urged consumers to avoid these beverages entirely, warning that their continued use could lead to permanent damage to organs such as the liver and kidneys, among other health complications.
