A Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Haruna Mohammed, slammed President John Dramani Mahama over what he describes as the president's failure to appoint his promised total of 60 ministers and deputy ministers.

Haruna Mohammed, during a panel discussion on the Good Morning Ghana programme on May 16, 2025, took a swipe at the president while reacting to an assertion that Mahama had better leadership qualities than former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP in the 2024 election.

He pointed to Mahama's supposed failure to appoint his promised 60 ministers and deputy ministers as a sign of indecision, which, according to him, makes Mahama a bad leader. "You are comparing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to John Dramani Mahama.

You know, President Mahama wrote his book, 'My First Coup d'État'.
