Former Vice President of Ghana, Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, has emphasised the growing importance of trust over tariffs in international trade negotiations, warning that the global trading system will soon recognise the unsustainability of protectionist policies.
Speaking on the evolving dynamics of global commerce at the International Democrat Union (IDU) Forum, Dr.
Bawumia argued that historical evidence shows tariffs have largely failed as a long-term strategy.
