President has announced plans by his administration to upgrade the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge, into a full teaching hospital.
The upgrade, he stated, will include the construction of Phase Two to increase the hospital's capacity.
President Mahama indicated that Ridge Hospital would be affiliated with the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons to enhance specialist training and reduce referrals outside the region.
He disclosed this during his 'Thank-you' visit to the Greater Accra Region, where he thanked residents for their overwhelming support in the 2024 general elections.
