Amid ongoing court proceedings on the alleged robbery at the residence of former Minister of Sanitation, , involving her house help, attention has been drawn to a previously filed petition by notable Ghanaians and anti-corruption advocates.

The petition called for an investigation into the conduct of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) regarding the handling of the large sums of money discovered at Dapaah's residence.

According to the petitioners, which included private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu, security analyst Dr Adam Bonaa, academic Professor , and over 100 other Ghanaians from diverse backgrounds, they argued that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) had ample grounds to investigate former Minister for money laundering.

They stated that her inconsistent accounts and failure to credibly explain the source of the large sums of money seized at her residence by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) warranted a thorough probe.
