The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed two cases of Mpox (formerly known as Monkeypox) within the Accra Metropolitan Area of the Greater Accra Region.

The announcement was made in an official statement signed by the Acting Director General of the Service, Prof.

Samuel Kaba Akoriyea.

According to the statement, the Ministry of Health and the GHS are working collaboratively to implement urgent and comprehensive public health measures aimed at containing the virus and preventing further transmission.
