The Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Ralph Poku-Adusei, has called on the government to ensure that the recent appreciation of the Ghanaian cedi has a direct and positive impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.
His comments come amid growing public concern over the soaring cost of food and essential goods across the country.
Speaking on Accra-based Asaase Radio, the MP said: "Let the cedi appreciation affect the lives of the people.
Today, as we speak, food is the most expensive thing in Ghana. "One meal of fufu can cost you someone's salary.
