Correspondence from the Ashanti Region Dr William Atta Owusu, a senior communications member of the (NDC) in the Ashanti region, has issued a strong defense of , the Chief Executive of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), amid ongoing controversy stemming from his interactions with Agradaa that saw him giving dollars to her.
While acknowledging concerns surrounding 's gift of $800 to Agradaa, Dr Atta-Owusu argued that 's actions do not warrant dismissal and that he has been unfairly targeted.
He characterized as a "cheerful giver," suggesting that the situation is being blown out of proportion. "'s act wasn't a wrongful act," he stated emphatically, arguing that his recent actions never defy any state laws or were against any of the NDC's code of ethics.
Dr Atta-Wusu addressed the accusations surrounding 's dealings with Agradaa, emphasizing that it was Agradaa who requested money which , known for his usual generosity, provided. "So, to err is human," Dr Atta-Wusu declared, suggesting a general act of kindness and not anything else. "Dr Atta Owusu also dismissed the notion that publicly flaunted the money, explaining that didn't err by counting it in his car. 'Let's not exaggerate this as if he sprayed cash in public,' he urged. 'He was simply counting the money in his car when someone unfortunately recorded a video.
