Days after the 26TH Telecel Ghana Music Awards, figures within the country's music scene have been weighing in on the aftermath of the awards, particularly on the relationship between two of the night's major talking points, Stonebwoy and King Promise. While Stonebwoy had been seen as a front-runner for the Artiste of the Year category, the prestigious title ultimately went to King Promise.
The win marked a significant career milestone for the "favorite Story" hitmaker, who claimed the award for the first time at the event held on Saturday, May 10, 2025.Stonebwoy, who previously beat King Promise to win the same title last year, took to social media on May 11 to extend his congratulations.
