Akim Swedru MP Kennedy Nyarko Osei has boldly called for full public access to the proceedings of the committee investigating Ghana's suspended Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo.
As anticipation builds ahead of the hearings, Osei insists the process must be transparent and accessible to all Ghanaians. "For the purpose of transparency and also to carry the Ghanaian people along we demand that the committee's hearings must be televised live.
Ghanaians will not accept any hearings that will be done in secrecy," he asserted.
His comments come just days before the five-member committee, constituted by President John Dramani Mahama, begins its public sittings on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
