The President of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Dr.

Joseph Obeng, has called on consumers to be more proactive in seeking out traders who are reflecting recent improvements in the local currency through fair pricing.

Speaking in response to growing calls for price reductions following the appreciation of the cedi on Channel One TV's The Point of View on Wednesday May 14, Dr Obeng urged consumers not to rely solely on general trends but to actively explore the market to find traders who are adjusting prices responsibly. "The consumers shouldn't be lazy.

They should comb the market because the market that we have is a consumers' market.
