The glitz of awards aside, Ghanaian musician King Promise believes there's a more pressing issue stalling the progress of Ghana's music industry - unhealthy competition.   The reigning Telecel Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year made this clear during an interview on Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz, where he shared his thoughts on how unity, rather than rivalry, could push Ghanaian music further."What we can change as artistes is to come together.

We can't take Ghana to the world and be moving individually," he said, stressing the need for collaboration over individualism. "Which is one thing I try not to do.

I try to involve and engage my brothers in the industry from time to time." For the Favourite Story hitmaker, supporting fellow musicians and working as a collective force is the way forward.

He believes artists should take inspiration from each other, rather than treat success as a threat. "I believe it's about time we also come together and make music with each other," he urged. "We need to push together as a unit.
