A private citizen, Eric Dumenu Akatsi, has petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate what he describes as a suspicious display of wealth by Sammy  Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board(Goldbod).

The petition comes on the back of a viral video captured on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in which Sammy Gyamfi is seen handing out bundles of US dollars to controversial evangelist Nana Agradaa.

Citing Article 218(e) of the 1992 Constitution, which mandates CHRAJ to investigate suspected corruption and abuse of power by public officials, Mr.

Akatsi expressed concerns about possible financial impropriety. "I write in my personal capacity and as a citizen of the Republic of Ghana with a civic duty," he stated in the petition.
