The Kaneshie District Court One has sentenced a 23-year-old cashier to three months' imprisonment with hard labour for stealing GHC 8,575.00 from his employer to gamble.

Andy Tetteh, the convict, who lost the money through betting, admitted to the offence when he was arraigned.

He was convicted on his own plea and sentenced accordingly.

Police Chief Inspector Achana Apewah told the Court that the complainant, Teye Simon Kwabla, is the Manager at Bingo Bets, located in Ecomog, Adabraka.
