A group photo of the delegation with Madam Afo-Toffey The Jomoro Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the heartfelt messages during the accident of their Member of Parliament, Dorcas Affo-Toffey.
The MP and his entourage were involved in a near fatal accident at Komenda Junction on the Takoradi-Cape Coast- Accra Highway in the early hours of Thursday, August 29, 2024.
The MP and the team were returning from the Constituency after her campaign launch at Half Assini when the Ford Raptor Vehicle was nearly crushed in a horrifying incident by an overtaking heavy truck.
The MP and her team have been discharged from the hospital but a delegation from the Constituency visited her in her house in Accra to sympathize with the MP.
The eight-member delegation, led by the Constituency Chairman, Anthony Armah Benle, paid a heartfelt visit to the MP on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Other members of the delegation were the Constituency Secretary, Organizer, Treasurer, Youth Organizer, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Youth Organizer, and an Executive Member.
The Chairman, Anthony Armah Benle said they heard the sad news, and they were traumatized by the news, but they were grateful the MP and other members are all responding to treatment.
He expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, the people of Jomoro and God for protecting their MP and hope the MP will at the appropriate time, visit the Constituency and continue their campaign to win the December election.
The Constituency Secretary, Emmanuel Ndarko Benle alleged that the party suspected foul play in the cause of the accident, but the party is behind her in anything she does.
He alleged that some people wanted to eliminate the MP because they started when she won the seat almost four years ago when they took the matter to court but to no avail.

Benle said after they lost the legal battle, they went to appeal but also to no avail so they are trying all means to eliminate the MP but with God on their side, nothing will happen to Madam Affo -Toffey.
