The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has proposed the creation of a dedicated police unit within the Ghana Police Service to address growing security concerns in senior high schools across the country.
The call was made during a meeting with the Minister of Education, , in Sunyani.
CHASS explained that incidents of indiscipline and threats to student safety have been on the rise in recent years, prompting the need for a more professional and authoritative security presence in schools.
